Statement from the Young Republicans of Vermont on the Assassination of TPUSA Founder Charlie Kirk

"Charlie Kirk of Turning Point USA was assassinated.

While his style of politics isn't popular in our state, how can we encourage young Republicans in Vermont to stand up for their beliefs when they may get assaulted or shot for them? Charlie Kirk inspired many young people to find their voice, and we hope to follow his example.

It is vital that we come together as one nation and one people. Republican, Democrat, or Independent, we must make an effort to reduce the political vitriol and rhetoric before more harm occurs.

Pray for him and his family and pray for this country that we can do better."
